Academic coaching is a partnership between the coach, parent and the learner specifically designed to enable long term academic and personal success. As coaches and learning strategists, we focus on the 'how" and not just the 'what" of learning. We provide the guidance, strategies, skills and support necessary to maximize school performance. An individualized plan of action that students of all ages can use to raise confidence and motivation levels while performing to their utmost abilities. In order to shape the coaching sessions, we begin with a one-hour parent consultation during which we review previous assessments and interventions, obstacles, discuss academic history and parent /learner concerns. Relevant long and short-term goals and strategies are established. We recommend an initial 6 hour commitment in order to better foster new and more productive behaviors. Classes can be scheduled once per week and will involve problem-solving, critical thinking and self advocacy coaching. Follow-up parent meetings will review goals and interventions and create a path forward.

11 - 18 years old

We use qualitative measures such as increased confidence, motivation levels, and proactive academic behaviors as reported by learners, teachers and parents. Typically, these behaviors positively impact quantitative measures of school performance as well.

After each session, parents will receive an e-mail update detailing class content and progress toward goals. Of course, ongoing communication and collaboration with coaches is highly encouraged.

Workshops and coaching sessions are currently held virtually.

Fees typically vary depending on the service provided. The parent conference, 6 coaching sessions, the follow-up meeting and all class materials are bundled at an investment of $450. Individual sessions are $50 per hour. Workshop fees are as advertised. Clients typically pay for sessions in advance and can conveniently do so using PayPal. Available Discounts Second child discount. Refer a friend. Get a discount when they sign up! Discounts for buying two sessions or workshops.

All cancellations must be done 15 days prior to the workshop or first coaching session. Fees will be refunded minus a $50 service fee. A 50% refund will be given if the cancellation takes place within 5 days of the workshop or the first coaching session. No refunds will be given 4 days prior to the workshop or first coaching session. If we have to cancel a workshop due to low enrollment, of course, you will receive a full refund. Missed Appointments We need 24 hours notice in order to re-schedule appointments. Except in emergency situations, appointments cancelled less than 24 hours before a session will be billed at regular rate.
